Chosen Prospects was founded by Chris O'Neal with a mission to develop athletes the right way on and off the field. With years of experience training youth and competitive players, Chris focuses on strong fundamentals, proper mechanics, confidence, and mental approach.

Chosen Prospects works with baseball and softball athletes of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced travel players. Training is built around individualized instruction, high-repetition reps, and a positive environment where athletes are challenged, encouraged, and developed with purpose.

The goal isn't just better players, it's disciplined, confident athletes prepared for the next level.

Chris O'Neal - Founder of Chosen Prospects

Background & Journey

Chris O'Neal is the founder and driving force behind Chosen Prospects, a youth baseball and softball organization dedicated to developing athletes the right way both on and off the field. A former standout athlete, Chris played high school baseball at Lamar County High School before continuing his career at Lane College. He went on to play five years of professional baseball, competing with the Alpine Cowboys, Aigles de Trois-Rivières, Eastside Diamond Hoppers, and the Great Falls Voyagers. His experience at every level of the game gives him firsthand knowledge of what it truly takes to succeed.

Coaching Experience

For the past eight years, Chris has trained and mentored young athletes in hitting, fielding, and fundamentals, helping players build not only their skills, but their confidence, discipline, and work ethic. What started as training a few local kids has grown into Chosen Prospects—now a full training facility and community built to give athletes access to elite instruction, mentorship, and opportunity.

Coaching Philosophy

Chris believes sports are about more than wins and losses—they're about character, accountability, and preparing kids for life. But make no mistake: Chosen Prospects trains hard, coaches hard, and expects to win. Excellence is the standard, and winning is earned through discipline and work.

Known for his fundamentals-first coaching style, positive energy, and ability to genuinely connect with athletes, Chris has earned the trust of families across the Griffin community. His mission is simple: build great players, build great people, and make sure every kid knows they're chosen for something bigger.
